“I have found over the years that as soon as a technique or subject becomes successful – usually regarding sales – I move on to another challenge, although I usually cycle back over time. Recently I have been giving myself assignments – everything from multiple three-color studies to precise drawings and paintings using grids and lots of thumbnail sketches. But I prefer to work abstractly looking for images and wonderful surprises.”
