Posting in Categories W/O Subforum Topics

Q1: Do categories in the Forum have to have at least one subforum created by Admin in order to post in that category?

USER CORRECTION: I spoke too soon. TO POST WITHOUT GOING TO A SUBFORUM —> just click on the Category Title line!

Q2: I don’t see a way to italicize, underline or embolden a word or phrase. Am I missing something?

To italicize, underline, or embolden highlight the words and then click on the appropriate button above the text editing area. the highlighted words will be bookended by tags. When you Submit the post the proper formatting will be applied.
