Dear RNA people,

This is a brief newsletter to assure focus on an important topic: the hoped-for 2021 occurrence of the canceled 2020 conference on Religious Naturalism, sponsored by IRAS and held on the spectacular Star Island off the coast of New Hampshire.

Attached is the flyer, and the website is here https://www.iras.org/2021-conference.html Should you have a 2021 planner, pencil in the dates: June 26 – July 3.

Those of you whose proposals for papers/workshops were accepted for 2020 are automatically in the pool for 2021, and you should have received an email from Wim Drees to this effect.

Should you not have submitted a proposal but now wish to do so, the deadline for submission of new abstracts is Dec. 10, 2020, with details on the website. The topics range from up-front academic perspectives to considerations of the many vital ancillaries, like ritual, programs for children, integration into traditional church services, and nature-spirituality. Share your ideas and your depths!

Whenever we have news about whether 2021 will be happening, we’ll let you know right away.

Much love and best wishes for your well-being —

Ursula
