We can’t teach ‘em if we shoot them

Post by Emerson »

Finally, the USA reaches no.1 ranking globally (not fact-checked) in some category worthy of noting …

10 months ago from Fox:

https://www.foxnews.com/us/guns-leading ... ildren-cdc

11 months ago, same story, from BBC:

Gun deaths were the leading killer of US children in 2020 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61192975

2 days ago, segway the storyline within the MSU mass shooting, from Democracy Today, and updating a touch about the number of U.S. mass shootings being more than 1 a day (like a vitamin tanlet)

https://youtu.be/YvzxeW3AWwo

What doesn’t need fact checking, imo, is the completely unnecessary situation we are now in about guns.

Be prepared and be kind,

Twice now elementary school children have brought loaded guns to their classrooms (both times in Virginia as it turns out):

“Another six-year-old boy brings gun to school in Virginia” https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-64685367

The first time the child fired the weapon injuring his teacher. This time the gun was safely removed from the child.

It isn’t enough to say enough is enough. We are way past that. This isn’t teaching any youngsters to be kind or respectful. This teaches us that our leaders aren’t able or willing to change tge gun culture.

Be kind; don’t kill your neighbor,
